Memory Lanes

Pictures of everyday life, travels or locations. Now living in one of the most beautiful regions of France, part of it is the Gard department, I will post shots of this place where time seems to have stopped. For each photo, a caption in English will be posted too. Just double-click on an image to get a bigger shot. Many thanks to my friend Scott for giving me such an intense yet fleeting insight into precious moments of life captured on a still image.

Coming up for air.

Just like these Portuguese fish the whole family is now coming up for air. After months of preparation, stress and occasional heavy-going atmosphere at home, Evelyne has passed the national exam that will enable her to lead a team and teach at the midwifery school. What a relief!
This means however, that she will have to take a training year some two hundred miles from home. I will be left with the kids and our two cats...
And if I happen to find a minute to myself in this coming hectic year, I guess I could start reading George Orwell's novel. Not sure if it features Portuguese fish though...
