Old Dyane across the road.


It lay undisturbed in the garage for 15 years, since its owner was considered definitely insane and transferred to a mental hospital. He died a few weeks ago and relatives came to empty the house. The car boot was full of pills and unused prescriptions, the four tyres were flat but the engine started as if time had been nonexistent. It roared in the street for a good hour at dusk, spent the night quietly in fresh air, and in the morning was towed away to its resting place...
