Memory Lanes

Pictures of everyday life, travels or locations. Now living in one of the most beautiful regions of France, part of it is the Gard department, I will post shots of this place where time seems to have stopped. For each photo, a caption in English will be posted too. Just double-click on an image to get a bigger shot. Many thanks to my friend Scott for giving me such an intense yet fleeting insight into precious moments of life captured on a still image.

Far from the madding crowds in Malbosc (Les Bondons), Lozère.

Spent three days in the ghost hamlet of Malbosc where the only remaining living souls look after cows and hens in a derelict farm.
All the other habitations are either in ruins or forgotten second homes which can be reached after a 30-minute drive in the mountains on a road wide enough just for one car (luckily we never had to cross another vehicle).
No TV or computer, only the sound of the church bells, open 24 hours and chiming only for us and the drunken farmer...
